(SLP) Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) delivers
direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients based on referrals
from physicians, while adhering to relevant laws and standards.
Applicants are required to possess ASHA certification or be
eligible for the Clinical Fellowship Year, maintain their
licensure, and exhibit strong skills in patient care and
interdisciplinary collaboration. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (Full-Time)
Applicants must hold an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
(CCCs) Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is
responsible for providing rehabilitation services in speech therapy
to patients referred by physicians, in compliance with all relevant
laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Education,
Experience, and Licensure Requirements Graduation from an
accredited speech therapy program (minimum MS or MA in SLP) ASHA
certified (CCCs) OR eligibility for a 9-month Clinical Fellowship
Year (CFY) to obtain ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meet ASHA
credentialing criteria. Once obtained, ASHA credentialing must be
maintained. Current registration/licensure in the applicable state,
with an active license in good standing throughout employment.
Preferred one (1) year of experience in post-acute care or a
related environment. CPR certification required upon hire or to be
obtained during orientation; must remain current throughout
employment. Specific Job Requirements Engage in community health
initiatives/projects as appropriate. Proficient in Microsoft Word,
Excel, and email communication. Collaborate with patients,
families, and support departments to effectively address patient
needs. Exhibit proper body mechanics at all times. Ability to make
independent decisions when necessary. Familiarity with practices,
procedures, and regulations governing operations in a post-acute
care facility. Implement and interpret departmental programs,
goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate
proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights,
safety, and sanitation. Maintain professional relationships with
colleagues, vendors, and others. Ensure confidentiality of all
proprietary and confidential information. Understand and adhere to
organizational policies, including those related to harassment and
compliance. Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the
organization’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance
training. Essential Functions Establish, assess, and adjust
realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals. (SLP CCC only)
Oversee and evaluate care provided by SLP CFYs. (SLP CFY only)
Follow speech therapy treatment plans for patients under the
supervision of an SLP CCC, in accordance with federal and state
guidelines. Document appropriately and in a timely manner. Utilize
therapy software accurately and effectively. Provide excellent
customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary. Demonstrate
reliable and regular attendance. Utilize reasoning skills and sound
judgment effectively. Communicate and collaborate productively
within an interdisciplinary team. Engage in various physical
activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing,
pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently
during work hours. Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English
