Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - ER /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee /n• Block scheduling with weekend coverage required /n• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends /n• 48 hours of orientation provided /n• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics /n• Work in 62-room emergency department with daily census of 190 patients /n• 3 years of experience preferred, 2 years accepted if from high volume/trauma facility /n• First-time travelers not accepted /n• Travel experience required /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS /n• EPIC charting system experience preferred /n• Trauma Level II experience preferred /n• Must have skills in triage, emergency medications, IV management, blood product administration, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator care, chest tube management, and wound care /n• Experience with stroke certified and STEMI certified facility procedures preferred /n• Must be comfortable managing psychiatric patients, trauma cases, and procedural sedation /n• 50-mile local radius restriction applies /n• License must be in-hand before start date /n• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of offer acceptance /n• Documentation due 3 business days prior to start date /n• Complete 2-3 hours of modules during first 16 hours of orientation /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates a high-volume emergency department that serves as a Level II trauma center with STEMI and stroke certification.
