Production Associate / OperatorGeneral Purpose: Performs the collecting, packing, labeling and weighing of finished product from various machines centers according to our established procedures; then transports the packed product to the warehouse. Will maintain raw materials at the machines. Records and disposes of waste. Keeps a clean area.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Accurately weights, labels and packs finished product according to customer requirements.Completes all paperwork accurately and as requiredCompletes daily checklist and operates forkliftBrings pallets into the plant from storage areas or trailersIssues material to machines as neededNotify your supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on- the -job injury when it occurs no matter how insignificant it may seem.Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctionsVisually inspect production and take corrective actionParticipate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by PlantKeep working area clean throughout shiftAny other task or duty that is assigned by the Team LeadersIdentifies problems and suggest methods to correct themWorks independently with minimal supervisionAssist in the development of new productsAssist in the design or redesign of equipmentAble to solve problems independentlyPerform other duties as assigned+Responsible for appearance of finished fabric and palletsAvoid any problems leading to scrap or miss productionNotify Team Leaders/Lead & Relief of equipment problems requiring work ordersFollow up on work ordersParticipate in Process Teams, supporting the Team s goals for each area of expectation on your shift.Other duties as assignedWorking Environment:Partially-climate controlled work area due to material.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.What makes a successful team member:Job Qualifications:This job requires approximately 2 weeks of training to reach desired performance levels.
